Brilliant work keeping the public informed from all of you -- as usual! Asanteni sana!

Nick’s timeline is an excellent addition!

The Ushahidi template has unlimited potential beyond public-facing crisis information. Real-time Project Management comes to mind -- Ushahidi has inspired a way for me to track and coordinate several projects I am working on in the USA, Tanzania, and Kenya. Most appealing to me is the ease and levels of communicating information; such a user-friendly tool to zoom out and see the big picture of any type of project or zoom in for details which could lead to further documentation etc.

A mere Thank You does not seem like enough to cover how I feel about the good work you all have done keeping the world informed during this crises in Kenya along with your usual timely information as well.

I've said it before but I will say it again. This is a brilliant idea. As a member of the diaspora at least now I can find out what is going on.

My mother who has hardly ever used a computer is now logging on to see what is happening in her homeland. Thanks to everyone involved in this project.

[...] White African wrote an interesting post today on The Ushahidi Timeline, and Other UpdatesHere’s a quick excerpt A big thanks goes out to Nick Rabinowitz who saw what we were doing on Ushahidi and offered up his technological expertise in the mashing up of timelines and Google maps. This is really cool stuff, but beyond that, it’s incredibly useful for visualization as well. One of our hardest problems with the current Ushahidi UI was trying to show the chronological implications of the data we were receiving as incident reports. What the Ushahidi Timeline allows you to do is see what, where and when it [...]
