Bank regulation is very crucial facet especially for the banking system in developing countries like Kenya. I just learnt that Kenyan banking system is not subjected to stricter anti-money laundering regulation. We need regulation first hand to avoid scenarios like Chartehouse bank.

The younger people are the future of our fledgling knowledge economy. It might be helpful to to seek participation for young people in other sectors especially the legal fraternity.

I also agree with the theme that the intricate balance between innovation and regulation should be managed carefully. Ideally we should allow innovation first then gradually introduce regulation

The time is ripe for this conference and it will be of enormous benefit for regulators, practitioners and academicians. While regulation should minimize risks, it should not impede innovation. The corporate world is dynamic and impeding innovation will make the corporate world static.
So, balancing regulation and innovation is crucial.
