C-level executives and boards in Kenya and the region need to start considering the real value for their companies in outsourcing some of their non-core processes to local BPO operators while at the same time the sector has to show value to the companies alongside having an intimate understanding of the client’s business. Indeed, the government too needs to continue doing the right things in terms of the business environment, infrastructure and market development. With all the ingredients in the ecosystem starting to come together, Kenya is poised to make god strides in the BPO sector in the next few years. As Kenyans, we have to openly interrogate our BPO strategy and above all execute ruthlessly.
