While that quote sounds a lot like our current state of affairs in the technology space, it’s not. It’s from a good story on how the movie and film industry came to be in the early 20th century.

I love that quote. I think those early days were the most exciting for cinema as they tried tons of new things and figured out what works, and our current bumbling first steps towards new distribution channels and new business models make this another incredibly exciting era to be a part of.

Interesting the movie industry started out with guys who were avoiding regulation by big companies yet now the movie industry is trying to overregulate with SOPA, PIPA etc
