Build me one too! That reminds me of something dad would have done with us. Poo on “girl stuff” it’s over rated anyways. Plus the girls already get enough of that from their aunts.

May your girls will grow up to be rocket scientists or aviation designers/ engineers – not traditionally “girls stuff” but this is 2007? Looks good – wish I had it:)

John – I was conscious of using that phrase, thus the quotes. The girls love to make things, I think it’s good that they get exposed to building things outside of the whatever the norm is. They’re incredibly inventive and come up with some pretty good ideas all on their own.

Actually, I know it’s a complicated subject. Many people are interested for more men elementary school teachers. I for one think kids would benefit not only with more male interaction, but also from seeing adult men and women working together collaboratively. But there are all sorts of reasons we don’t see more guys going into teaching in the elementary school.

When I was a kid my mother made stuff for us and with us. One of the great things is that by the time I was 9 or 10, she’d just tell me to make the things I wanted and then get out of the way. All of my siblings, both girls and boys are happy we grew up making things.
