Questions about legislative issues of e commerce would be better addressed in Kenya’s ICT policy document. the last time I heard about it was when it was in draft form. was it revised let alone being adopted? if no body is in charge, perhaps we can develop this important document through consensus, like the internet standards

Am doing a thesis on ecommerce in Kenya and am currently in the UK and was wondering if there are laws regarding ecommerce in kenya..i.e. copyright, trademarks, domain name disputes etc. If so do you know where i can get it. thanks in advance. Or do you know if we follow the UK law on this matters?

The comment by Marcel on the need to establish a “transport services” in support of e-commerce development caught my eye. I think as we go on about legislation, now that its a work in progress, we need people to champion for the utility services that will be required once e-commerce is up and running, delivery is one of them. e-tailers will be glad to be relieved of delivery logistics.
