Congratulations Eric, on what you have been able to achieve and contribute to the Kenyan tech scene in such a short time; it is nothing short of phenomenal. A point of correction though, Waabeh was not incubated nor did the founders meet here.

Having been at iHub/Mlab from the start I must say it has been a very fast learning curve for myself and my team. The last 3 years feels more like 10. Top benefits include:

Networking
Workshops & Training
Finding clients and talent
Pitching and Testing Ideas
Launch platform

I feel iHub could benefit greatly from developing an open directory where people can find people/resources they need within the community. This should churn out better teams and ideas and subsequently improve the success rate of the community’s start-ups.

This is a platform that has formed a stepping stone for a lot of tech enthusiasts. It has encouraged a lot of us to explore the opportunities around us knowing fully well that any good idea we come up with will not just be swept under the carpet so I can’t be thankful enough for iHub.
