This is a nice (sanitized) video. It made me want to cheer for the home team. It looked for a while like we weren’t going to make a comeback.
It was those missionaries – they didn’t drop the ball when they went long.

What about the Christian empire of Aksum/Ethiopia from the 5th century onward? Not taken into account here.

True what you say about the western world being ignorant of Africa… Somehow they think we’re just another national geographic special – no ‘real’ people living here…
